Brussels temporarily halts 500 M Euro in EU reimbursements
This amount represents the expenditures associated with a number of 1000 projects financed through POS DRU 2007-2013. The European Commission decided to interrupt the scheduled payments until the clarification of a number of fraud charges. In the meantime, the Romanian government pays the beneficiaries’ bills through Treasury contracted loans.
The European Prosecutor – a new EU institution?
